The Human Resources assistant helps with the implementation of services, policies, and programs through HR staff; reports to the Head of Compensation and Benefits, and assists company managers with HR issues.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Human Resources assistant assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources administration. The HR assistant carries out responsibilities in all of the following functional areas: departmental development, employee relations, benefits, compensation, executive administration, and employment:
§ Assisting with employee relations;
§ Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting;
§ Maintaining employee files and the HR filing system;
§ Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office.
§ Update the appropriate form when an employee changes his/her status: a promotion, a dismissal, new hire;
§ Prepare reports for managers within the organization;
§ Provide authorized information from the employee's personnel records when requested;
§ Explain the organization's employment policies to new hires;
Required Skills:
§ At least one year of experience.
§ At least a high school diploma.
§ Training in computers, filing and maintaining filing systems, organizing, and human resources practices.
§ Tactful, diplomatic and able to communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization
